David Levy is at Amazon Web Services where he works with startups, accelerators, incubators, and coworking spaces, to help them grow, thrive, and leverage Amazon’s cloud platform. Previously, David was the Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Comcast Ventures, sourcing and vetting deals for the partnership. David held a similar role at Broadway Video Ventures, the ventures arm of Lorne Michaels' production company, before his work at Comcast began.
Prior to working in venture capital, David was Co-Founder and CEO of Philo Media Corporation, which was acquired by LocalResponse in 2011. Philo let television viewers use mobile and desktop applications to "check-in" to television shows and interact with programming and viewers. Philo was backed by North Bridge Venture Partners, DFJ Gotham, and angels in entertainment and digital media.
Before Philo, David was Co-Founder and CEO of Tigerbow Inc., which let people send real gifts to virtual addresses. David was previously an investor in growth and technology companies at Ardsley Partners and MLH Capital, and began his career as an an equity research analyst and investment banker at Chase / H&Q and at ING Barings / Furman Selz, where he built the Internet research and investment banking practice.
David is a CFA charterholder, he invests and advises several private digital media companies, a venture partner at the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, former co-head of the Wharton Angel Network, and a graduate of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
