Jake Mendel is an entrepreneur-turned-banker working with Silicon Valley Bank's Early-Stage Practice to advise promising seed-stage startups on fundraising and growth strategies.
Jake has operated in startups ranging from retail brands and SaaS platforms to medical devices and IND-stage biotechs. He also led customer discovery initiatives for Silicon Valley Bank's R&D division in San Francisco. Jake recently transitioned to SVB's Early-Stage Practice in NYC to work hands-on with the east coast's top Pre-A founders.
His passion for entrepreneurship extends to social enterprises as well. He received the Eileen Granville Fellowship from Pelotonia, an annual bike ride that has raised over $130 million for cancer research, to help launch a philanthropic investment fund. He also sits on the advisory board for Shadowbox Live, a 501c3 non-profit and the largest resident theatre company outside Broadway.
