Lauri Kien Kotcher is the CEO of Hello Products, a disruptive and naturally friendly personal care company targeted at millennial consumers. Since Lauri joined in 2015 the company has become the fastest growing brand in the oral care category with award winning products. Lauri has jumpstarted top and bottom line growth through product innovation, channel expansion and business model redesign. She has been a Senior Advisor at Catterton Partners and was part of the Portfolio Operations team where she has served as a Board member of several portfolio companies, including Strivectin and CoverFX, and played an active leadership role in driving their growth. She advises several early stage consumer companies on growth strategies through her work with Springboard Enterprises and the New York Fashion Tech Lab.
Prior to her current roles, Lauri spent 10 years in senior line marketing roles as CMO of Godiva, Head of Global Marketing at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and as a Managing Director in a senior marketing role at Lehman Brothers. As CMO at Godiva, Lauri was responsible for product and packaging innovation, store design and visual merchandising, pricing and promotions, licensing and marketing communications. Over her tenure, revenues grew ~50% driven by product innovation and high quality integrated marketing, EBITDA grew to a new peak and the brand strength reached new heights. At Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, a $5 Billion division of Pfizer, Lauri was responsible for leading global marketing and innovation, resulting in a growth rate for the division of double the industry average and leading the blockbuster Listerine and Nicorette brands to growth of over 15% per year.
Prior to Pfizer, Lauri was a partner at McKinsey and Company. Over her 15 year career, she served Fortune 500 global clients in luxury retail, packaged goods and consumer healthcare. She was a co-leader of McKinsey’s North American consumer practice and was known for her work with front line sales teams and for spearheading McKinsey’s industry leading sales force benchmarking work. She authored multiple speeches and articles and served on the GMA Advisory Board.
As a result of her varied experiences, Lauri has a unique perspective on how to capitalize on the opportunities for consumer branded businesses at levels of scale from $5MM to $5Billion and from the vantage point of a senior operating executive, board member and owner/investor.
