Sandra Kresch has more than 35 years of experience as an entrepreneur and growth strategist focused on building successful intellectual property-based businesses. Founder and President of PSD International, a boutique firm focused on working with media and entertainment industry clients to sustain growth in a more global and technology-driven market, she has been at the leading edge of the development of digital and social media. Ms. Kresch has been actively involved in nurturing start-up companies in the digital space as an advisor and investor and has extensive expertise in the successful management of innovation both inside the corporate environment and in new ventures. Her particular expertise lies in developing strong brands based on intellectual property and then leveraging those brands across multiple businesses to achieve continued growth and increased profitability.
Ms. Kresch began her career working with consumer products companies in identifying opportunities to grow their businesses. She was a partner in the management consulting group at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, had a series of senior management roles at Time Inc. in the video and magazine divisions and was the Practice Leader for Media and Entertainment Strategy at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 1988, she founded her own boutique consulting firm focused on growth strategy for media and entertainment companies through which she has helped large and small companies build their businesses in response to industry evolution.
Ms. Kresch is a Managing Director of Golden Seeds, an angel investment group focused on women-owned and managed start-up companies. She has invested in several digital media companies and is actively involved in their development. These include Open Road Integrated Media, an e-publishing business, NewsIt, a transformative new business focused on marrying crowd-sourced content with algorithms and editorial expertise to produce personally relevant, high quality news at lower cost than traditional media, Verifeed, a technology platform providing real time analysis of social media to identify emerging trends, targeted content and “influencers,” Shareablee, which uses big data to maximize effectiveness of content marketing and Consensus Point, a prediction market software platform that supports business decision making.
Ms. Kresch holds a BS from the University of Pennsylvania. She has written and lectured on market segmentation, competitive structure, strategic planning, the management of innovation and issues related to corporate and not-for-profit governance. She serves on the Boards of Directors of Consensus Point, NewsiT, Verifeed and on the advisory board of ICDLogic, a health care software company, as well as a number of not-for-profit organizations.
