Christine Mei has been a CEO, global leader, and seasoned whitespace pioneer -- building >30 years of consumer goods experience across multiple Fortune Global 500 companies. She adds the spice of living and working over 12 years in China/APAC Region; of traversing the world to manage a $1B, 100+ country footprint; and of becoming fully immersed into the entrepreneurial “better for you” startup space. She has served in general management roles and held functional leadership positions in marketing, strategy, sales, and operations. Christine has shaped an international career by catalyzing positive disruption as one of the first on-the-ground marketers when P&G entered China, then energizing the swoosh across Greater China/SE Asia/New Zealand/South Africa with Nike, guiding experiential growth and operations across the Coca-Cola portfolio of sparkling and still brands in the US, eating her way around the world leading Royal Philips’ Kitchen Appliances global business plus integrating two acquisitions in China and India, and stimulating loyalty for skin and face care products across APAC with Beiersdorf. As startup Gathered Foods CEO, Christine teamed up with vegan chefs, impact investors, and sustainability enthusiasts to introduce an emerging category of 100% plant-based seafood products onto 3 continents (22 countries).
Christine serves on the Board of Directors for Puig (fragrances and fashion, makeup and skincare) and SKU (consumer goods accelerator) and is the Founder and Principal of The Cozabe Group. In her board and advisory roles, Christine offers brand-building expertise, people leadership EQ, and international acumen to support blueprinting strategic direction in line with company purpose and fostering corporate governance for long-term business growth. She is also a Professor of Practice at The University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering, focusing on key fundamentals to create value and build new ventures in an entrepreneurial ecosystem. She is a firm believer that today's entrepreneurship relies on adaptability and resilience as much as it demands a purposeful embrace of technology, digital fluency and business acumen.
