Jody Heilbronner is an omni-channel retail executive with a broad range of planning and merchandising expertise in both hard and soft product lines at the nation’s premier retailers; Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. Her biggest successes can be attributed to her strong data-driven analysis and strategic business planning skills and her ability to innovate and implement structure. In addition, she has successfully executed and led teams through transformational change, such as systems integrations and company consolidations.
Jody’s career at Macy’s spans 15 years in key planning leadership roles in both private label and market brands across multiple product categories. She executed insightful cross-channel strategic business plans to drive sales growth, inventory optimization and profit improvement and innovated solutions to key business issues including reorganizations, brand launches, analysis and reporting. Throughout her tenure she was recognized for driving and making results, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Before joining Macy’s, Jody held a variety of planning and merchandising positions with increasing responsibility at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. She received her Bachelor of Science in Retail Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and later served on the original Retail Advisory Board to develop a “Best in Class” Retail Management Program. In October 2016, she was invited to return to campus to serve on its Women in Leadership panel.
Aside from her career, Jody has a lead role in the all-volunteer Crew for the Avon 39 – The Walk to End Breast Cancer. For the last nine years, she has been the Division Leader for the NY Youth Crew. She has mentored, motivated and inspired over 180 young people to raise over $480K in the fight against breast cancer and has personally raised over $90K. In 2015 was recognized by the Avon Foundation as the Top Fundraiser in Crew.
