Kim Vernon has almost 30 years of experience working with brands to develop and implement strategies for growth and market leadership. During those years, she rose to be the Executive Vice President/CMO of Calvin Klein Inc., as well as a member of parent company PVH’s 25-person Executive Management Group.
While at Calvin Klein Inc., Vernon was a leader and contributor in all business initiatives that positively impacted the PVH corporate earnings; PVH stock rose from $14 to the mid-$50s. She managed a $250M annual marketing budget at Calvin Klein Inc. and participated in the long-term business and financial planning of the company (6-MO, 1-Y, 5-Y plans). Along with COO Tom Murry, she created the annual fiscal plans and managed significant portions of Calvin Klein Inc. Profit & Loss, beating plans in three consecutive years.
Leading a global marketing team of seventy employees and operating in four countries, Vernon played a strong role in defining the message to the consumer, trade, and even Wall Street. Working with over thirty-five licensees, she led the design and deployment of advertising campaigns, consumer events of every scale, as well as the identity of all products on the market, some regarded as historical to this day.
Kim also worked at Prada at a key time during its skyrocketing growth. She had a similar experience while working at Escada, and started her career at the one of retail’s crown jewels, Bergdorf Goodman.
Kim is now the CEO of her namesake company, which opened in October of 2006. Vernon Company provides CEO’s, Founders, and Investors with the strategic thinking and operational experience of a senior-level executive who has had exposure to major global markets in a range of product categories.
