Mary A. Alonso

Mary A. Alonso knows fashion/retail from the selling floor to the web. With expertise in business analytics and marketing to merchandising and product development, she understands how the synergies of customers, product, promotions and processes drive strong financials.

Ms. Alonso pivoted from senior level roles in fashion management (where she led turnarounds for multimillion dollar fashion businesses. Nordstrom, Spiegel Brands, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s) to academia, where she prepares future industry leaders as an Adjunct Instructor at LIM College and Prior to that at the  Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD).

Mary Alonso currently serves on the Board of Directors for EDsnaps, a non-profit committed to inspiring and transforming global STEM learners to become STEM leaders. Prior to joining the New York Fashion Tech Lab (NYFTL) Expert Network she supported women in the footwear industry as a Mentor in TwoTen’s Women in Footwear Industry (WIFI) Mentor program.

Ms. Alonso holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from Pace University and a B.A. in Psychology from Douglass College (Rutgers University).
