THE PROGRAM
The New York Fashion Tech Lab is a collaborative effort between leading retailers, brands, and innovators focused on enabling iteration, validation, and acceleration of technologies to advance the industry.
The Lab is a community-driven, relationship-building, collaboration, and business development platform.
The 501c3 non-profit program was co-founded by Springboard Enterprises and key retailers and brands to support women-led, emerging tech companies that have developed innovations at the intersection of fashion, retail, and technology.
Each year’s program takes place March-June. Through a competitive process where the Retail and Brand Partners, Advisors, Springboard Enterprises, and the Lab team members review every application/submission, we select six to ten women-led companies to enter the program, who receive and participate in:
Collaboration and mentorship from participating retail partners, investors, and the Lab’s Expert Network.
Access to senior leadership, at the retail and brand partners, for product feedback and potential deployment of proofs of concepts and partnerships.
Meetings with senior business executives, investors, and experienced entrepreneurs.
Workshops and panel discussions on issues relevant to retail technology companies, such as data optimization, proofs of concept, technology architecture and scalability, privacy, security, and broader industry trends.
The program concludes with each founder presenting to retail executives, investors, and media representatives at the Demo Day Experiential Event.
